The Hold My Hand Accelerator for Children and Teens, in partnership with the South African Parenting Programme Implementers Network (SAPPIN), would like to invite you to participate in a survey of initiatives and programmes that support responsive caregiving and early learning in the birth to three age group.
Who is the survey for?
The survey has been designed for organisations who have developed programmes for caregivers of very young children and organisations whose focus is on programme delivery. We have also included questions on digital tools to support caregivers.
Goals of the survey
The goal of the survey is to produce a directory that highlights the range of initiatives and programmes in South Africa, to explore examples of good practice, and to begin to work towards a picture of the reach of this important work. In addition to mapping current work in the sector, we are also hoping to gather data on potential for scale, collaboration and sector strengthening opportunities.
The survey and directory are likely to be of benefit to donors who currently invest in early childhood development who would like to broaden their investments to include support for caregivers of very young children (birth to three years). We are hoping it will also mobilise partnerships between NGOs and between government and civil society.
How will survey data be shared?
The survey data will be published as a directory of programmes and initiatives and will be available on the Hold my Hand and SAPPIN websites. We are also exploring the possibility of an interactive web page.
We have designed the survey so that you can scroll through all the questions before responding. You will not be able to save responses and come back to the survey at a later stage.
